What
The Vice President of IT & CIO of the University of Maryland, Jeffrey Hollingsworth, has approved a new interim IT standard – IT-20. This standard requires that networking and authentication infrastructure must only be run by the Division of Information Technology and not by local IT units or individual faculty and staff.

When
The Division of IT has given local IT units – including Engineering IT – until July 31st, 2025 to become compliant with IT-20.
